What is Cinnamon Street?
Cinnamon Street Early Education and Childcare Center provides licensed, NAEYC accredited, high quality care for children six weeks through twelve years of age. The center is a Parent Cooperative, not for profit organization with a parent board that sets policy. There are many opportunities for parents to be actively involved in creating the kind of center they want for their children. Parents are expected to contribute in a way that is comfortable for them.
What We Believe About Child Care and Learning
At Cinnamon Street, we believe that young children learn best in a caring setting that encourages creativity. Children develop self-esteem as they build friendships and trust with their peers and teachers. Each child actively participates in a program designed to promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development through group activities, free play, and outdoor time. Teachers design a program that offers a variety of child-directed and teacher-directed activities. Each child has unique abilities and interests. Differences in developmental levels, learning styles and skills are expected and accepted as part of the learning environment for all children. Parents are always welcome to visit and see what we are doing at Cinnamon Street!
We Are Here When You Need Us
The center is open from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, five days a week, year round. We close only on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, Christmas Day, one conference day in the spring, and one day in late August. The center stays open except in cases of extreme weather (i.e. hazardous driving conditions, power outage, etc.). Full day programs are available for after-schoolers during school vacations.

Accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) ensures families that their child will receive the highest quality care that meets professional, national standards for excellence. Cinnamon Street is proud be the only child care center (non-Head Start) in Sullivan County, NH to be accredited by NAEYC.
There is no higher standard than NAEYC accreditation for child care providers.
Cinnamon Street has been awarded Licensed Plus status by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) for exceeding state licensing requirements and providing exceptional quality care. This honor also emphasizes Cinnamon Street's commitment to child development programs and high staff educational requirements.
